We try to keep our enrollment under 60 students total to maintain our small teacher/student ratio. We strongly encourage you and your child to visit The Magnolia School before submitting an application so that you are familiar with our philosophy and practices. Our school day is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. (3:15 p.m. for middle school). Please call 385-3834 to arrange a visit.
The prospective student is invited to spend a day in our classroom. This important step in the admissions process can be scheduled at the end of the family visit.
Please complete the application and return it to The Magnolia School. Deliver the teacher evaluation form to your child’s current teacher. Both forms are available by request and can be downloaded here.
There is a $10 application fee to apply to The Magnolia School. Once your child is admitted, the first of 10 monthly tuition installments is due.
Criteria for Admissions
Priority is given to current Magnolia School students and their families, as well as to families who will increase the diversity and balance of our population. We have a full inclusion school; and therefore, we will take into account the number of students with special needs to maintain the best ratio for a full inclusion program. The date and time the application is received also will be considered.
Families who apply by March 1, 2017, will be notified of their acceptance by March 16, 2017. Applications received after this period will be considered. If no openings remain, these applications will be added to our waiting list. If a family applies after March 1, notification will take place as soon as the review process is complete.
